Ich mag das Buch, ich mag auch die Protagonisten, und die Geschichte bis jetzt auch. Ich mag auch den Schreibstil von Annie Stone, es ist nicht langweilig zum Lesen. Auf alle Fälle werde ich mir Teil 3 und 4 dieser Serie kaufen, nur brauche ich jetzt nach so viel HEISSER Erotik mal nur ein bisschen Pause.

Dear Mom - what a wonderful book!!!

I recently read Dear Mom by author Peter Wilson. I am writing this review with tears in my eyes. This book is about the relationship between a mother and her son. Having two sons of my own, I can really relate to this story. A mother wanting the best for her son. Watching him grow and develop day by day until he becomes the man you always dreamed he would be. To all the sons out there, this is the perfect gift to give to your mothers. I loved this book and so will your moms!!! Thank you Peter Wilson for another gem!!!

`Life's a journey, not a destination - what's important is who you are.'

Author Peter Wilson collaborates with illustrator Carol Matsuyama is presenting those special moments of a mother and son relationship in the form a letter written to the mother of an older man. The letter recalls all the fun and good times, the many times when his mother was there to give him courage, inspiration, marking his growth into a young man with memories he will never forget. At the end of the letter the man finds a book on the shelf of his library with a not written many years ago from his mother to him. The circle goes round.

This is a sweet testament to that special bond that unites a life long relationship between mother and son told in gentle poetry and fine illustrations. Grady Harp, July 14

This is a special book about the relationship between a mom and her son, but it could be describing many child/parent relationships, mother/daughter etc. I am so thankful that I do have this special bond with my son, as parenting can be sometimes be difficult. Peter and Carol have done a wonderful job of describing the unconditional love that exists between a parent and child. This book would make a great gift!

Powerful men are determined to block reforms by driving off or killing those opposed to the status quo, and adamant reformers will meet violence with violence.

Hired by one side in the conflict, an unexpected betrayal strikes down Ethan, and he vanishes. Kit goes on a rampage, terrorizing anyone with knowledge, to discover what happened to him, and mangled bodies accumulate as she searches for her brother. Knowing telepathically exactly what evil an individual has committed isn’t admissible in courts there, or heeded by corrupt sheriffs. However, possessing the truth is ample motivation for ignoring the law to Kit, and she summons help. Koban Universe #2

This spin-off story in the Koban Universe involves Ethan and his adopted (ripper) sister Kit as they visit a Wild West planet named Chisholm to drum up business for their new trouble-shooting firm, Have Genes, Will Travel. They and their young friends on Koban see the potential in using their Kobani skills as a way to finance sightseeing and adventures in a post-Krall galaxy. However things don't go quite as planned in the local range war and they end up needing to be rescued on their first mission. Every new business plan needs a little fine tuning in the beginning.

I really enjoy this series and can't wait for the next book by Bennett, either in the main series or this spin-off story from Koban: A Federation Forged in Fire. As usual, the blurb gives too much of the story away.

I have always enjoyed every book from this author. This was another great book in a series of well written books.

I always find myself getting lost in this universe created by the author. An small escape from the reality of today's world when I let the book absorb me into this world of gene modified humans. Super humans.

Fun western type story with lots of action, turns and twists. Think Kit stole the show in this one. I am glad the Rippers played a major role in this book.

Lets be happy for "hard heads"! Read the book to find out why. Editing was solid.

Gets my recommendation to read. All the Koban books get that recommendation. Look forward to the next one. Wonder where the Genes will travel next.

Another excelent addition to the Kobani universe

Came across the Koban books last February and Stephen W Bennett quickly became one of my favorite authors. I have since purchased every book released and have yet to be disappointed.

While KU:1 was a collection of four short stories KU:2 is all one story.

I enjoyed this book (though slightly less than I expected).

Pros: Good story. At one point a 'norm' gets the best of a Kobani proving they are not infallible super-beings. The rippers get more page time as the dominant point of view further cementing their full sentience in the readers mind. Plenty of action. Though little of it is in evidence local fauna is introduced (I like to see local plant and wildlife it make the planets less generic feeling). The younger generation gets to encounter more of the galaxy out of their own space and grow as people due to it.

Cons: The main norm antagonists seem a little one dimensional while the secondaries get more page time and have much more depth. Not sure if this was fixed in a revision but at one point the foreshadowing was WAY to strong.

The first revision that was released had a few editing errors but Stephen is always quick to fix anything you report to him.

In this engrossing study, Elinor Fuchs explores the multiple worlds of theater after modernism. She begins with the decline of character, once the central link between the artist and the spectator. In theatrical modernism Fuchs sees a series of strategies to compensate for this decline. Postmodern theater no longer greets the demotion of character with anxiety, despair, or satisfaction--as in Pirandello, Beckett, or Brecht--but puts in its stead a multiple subject, a protean spectator, and a dispersed field of attention.

About the Author

ELINOR FUCHS, a New York theater critic noted for her writing on contemporary experimental theater, is on the faculty of the School of the Arts at Columbia University and is Lecturer at the Yale School of Drama. She has also taught at Harvard University, New York University, and Emory University. She is editor of Plays of the Holocaust: An International Anthology, and co-author (with Joyce Antler) of the documentary play Year One of the Empire. Her essays have appeared in such publications as American Theatre, The Drama Review, Modern Drama, Theater, and Performing Arts Journal. She has been a contributor to The Village Voice since 1982.

About the Author
Maulana Maududi, whose full legal name was Syed Abul A'ala Maududi was born on September 25, 1903 in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Hyderabad, India. Near the end of his life he became ill and traveled to Buffalo, New York USA, where his son was a practicing medical doctor. He died there on September 22, 1979. Zafar Ishaq Ansari was born 27 December 1932. He is a scholar of Islamic Studies. He is the Director General of the Islamic Research Institute of the International Islamic University. Previously, he has also been the President of the International Islamic University Islamabad. He has published a number of books and articles and has spoken at international conferences on Islamic Studies and inter-religious dialogue. presently Dean, Faculty of Shariah and Law, International Islamic University, Islamabad Pakistan, was born and completed his early education in undivided India. He obtained his M.A. In economics from the University of Karachi, and later his M.A. and Ph.D. from McGill University in Canada in Islamic Studies, with specialization in Islamic History and Islamic Jurisprudence. He has taught at the University of Karachi; King Abdul Aziz University, Jeddah; King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran; Princeton University; University of Chicago; Melbourne University and McGill University. He has contributed a host of research papers to journals of international fame and articles to Encyclopedia Britannica and the recently published Encyclopedia or Religion.
