About the Author
Bruce D. Green is the founder and President of Green Expert Technology and provides business consulting to Fortune 500 companies, small-businesses, and government agencies about product development and technology systems. Bruce is also cofounder of Plan Foxtrot LLC the developer of transformative software systems. In 2005, he cofounded of The GBS Group an engineering firm with major clients in rail, defense, and maritime. Prior to that, Bruce led system development projects for the U.S. Navy and others. Bruce developed the PPL Rules after more than 15 years of studying why people choose to use one product over another. He has published articles and presented at academic and industry conferences on usability, technology acceptance, and system development. Bruce resides with his wife and three sons in Cherry Hill, NJ.

Actual worth you time

Why do I keep going to conferences and reading books such as the Six Rules for Creating Products People Love?!?! At some point you should know the rules of the game. That being said, I go/I read because I'm looking for that small nugget of information that moves you a little forward in terms of operating efficiency and/or insights. I may spend three days at a conference where I learn nothing new and simply reinforce what I know, which I thinks a waste, but sometimes I pick up that nugget that makes the effort worth my time. The Six Rules is worth the time. It's not chuck full of nuggets, at least for me, but there are more than in most such books. I also like that you do not have to read the book from front to back - I did, but you don't have too. It's a well written fast read that allowed you to pick a part of the book that's of interest at the moment and you can dive right in and not be lost. Definite Thumbs up.
